Rohtak, June 12
Superintendent of Police Jashandeep Singh Randhawa has said the CCTV footage regarding a case of sexual harassment against IIM-Rohtak Director Prof Dheeraj Sharma did not corroborate the charges levelled against him.
“The CCTV footage of the institute corresponding to the time and places mentioned in the complaint had been taken as evidence, but it does not corroborate the charges,” he said on Tuesday.
He, however, said the investigation was in progress and all aspects related to the matter, including the departmental communication involving the disciplinary proceedings against the complainant, were being examined.
A former woman assistant professor at the IIM has accused the Director of sexual harassment.
The former assistant professor, who was terminated from service on May 10, had alleged she was harassed by the Director after she joined the institute in September 2017.
