SRS group head, 4 aides in police remand

Faridabad, April 6
Anil Jindal, chairman, SRS group, and his four associates were on Friday remanded to police custody for five days.
The accused were arrested on Wednesday night for allegedly duping people of thousands of crores of rupees under the pretext of giving flats and monthly interest.
A police spokesperson said the police custody would help in gathering required information and evidence. The police would also seek help of the Income Tax Department and the Enforcement Directorate.
A total of 22 cases were registered against them under various Sections 420 , 406 (criminal breach of trust), and 120B (criminal conspiracy) of the IPC, and Section 3 of the Haryana Protection of Interest of Depositors (in Financial Establishment) Act, 2013, on March 4.
The accused — Anil Jindal, Nanakchand Tayal, Bisan Bansal, Devendra Adhana, and Vinod Garg, alias Vinod Mama, were nabbed from a hotel in Delhi’s Mahipalpur area.
The police registered two more FIRs against them on Thursday on complaints of Harender of Mewla Maharajpur village and Om Prakash of Hodal town in Palwal district.
