Chandigarh, April 1
The Haryana Government has decided to sought financial assistance from the Central Government for the construction of 1,33,761 houses in six towns under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY).
These and other decisions were taken in a State Level Sanctioning and Monitoring Committee meeting of PMAY chaired by Chief Secretary DS Dhesi here.
The state government would send an action plan to the Centre for getting financial assistance to construct these houses. The meeting also approved to send a proposal regarding the projects of first and second phase to give financial assistance for construction of houses to 70,671 families in 55 towns.
