Cooperation Minister Manish Grover yesterday said the state government may adopt Australian technology to enhance the profitability of the sugar mills.
Grover was here to inaugurate kabaddi tournament at Palwal village. He spoke of having studied various aspects of the sugar mill industry during his visit to Australia.
“Our sugar mills have a capacity of up to 2,500 tonne crushing per day (TCD) and the same can be doubled using high-tech equipment. If we are able to emulate the Australian model, the farmers will be a directly benefitted,” he said.
