The Shaheed Bhagat Singh Brigade of Sirsa on Wednesday unveiled the statues of 16 martyrs in 13 villages of the district in 11 hours making a new world record.
The record was entered in Golden Book of World Record by their representatives who remained with the club members throughout the unveiling functions.
Yadvendra Singh Sandhu, grandson of martyr Bhagat Singh’s younger brother Kulbir Singh, who is also national president of the brigade, unveiled the statues.
Sube Singh Chaharwala, district president of the brigade, said that martyr Bhagar Singh’s statues were unveiled at Panjuana, Roopawas, Barasari, Kagdana, Makhosarani, Kanwarpura and Bhavdeen villages.
The statues of Subhash Chander Bose were unveiled at Randhawa and Phoolka, of Chander Shekhar Azad at Shahwala and Ding and of Udham Singh at Jodhkan village.
At Bharokhan village, statues of Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, Sukhdev and Chander Shekhar Azad were unveiled.
