A class IX student of a private school in Sector 48 here allegedly jumped off the third floor of his school building today. He was seriously injured and his condition continues to be critical.
The 15-year-old student of CD International School reportedly ‘jumped’ off the third floor of the school around 8:15 am today. He was immediately taken to the Medanta hospital and his family and the police were informed. While his family has refused to believe that he jumped off the third floor and insisted that he may have fell down or was pushed, the police are investigating whether he attempted to commit suicide.
“We don’t know he fell down or was pushed or he jumped off the third floor. He is still unconscious and till he speaks out, we should not speculate,” said Ranbir Singh, uncle of the injured student.
Meanwhile, Rajender Singh, Station House Officer, Badshahpur police station, said the incident was being investigated and the things would become clear after the student’s statement was recorded.
