Tanwar to go on ‘cycle yatra’ from Nov 30
New Delhi, November 19
Former Haryana Congress president Ashok Tanwar, who had resigned from the party, said on Tuesday he would launch a movement to raise public issues in Delhi and other states. The movement in Delhi would be a week-long “cycle yatra” starting from November 30.
The decision was taken at a meeting of like-minded people. Two former MPs Sadhu Yadav and Promod Kurli also took part in the meeting. Tanwar told reporters the movement would be expanded to other parts of the country.
He had resigned from Congress in the run-up to the Assembly elections in protest against his removal from the post by party central leadership. — TNS
