The police arrested two youths on Thursday on the charge of murdering their teenaged friend in Urlana Kalan village of the district.

Inspector Sandeep Kumar said the accused were identified as Manjeet and Sagar of the same village. Anshul (15), a Class X student, went missing on May 13.

His body was recovered from a canal near Girawar village of Rohtak district on May 16. Sandeep said Manjeet had admitted that Anshul made some comments about his girlfriend.

He said they called Anshul and took him to the Hansi-Butana canal, where they hit him on the head with a hammer and threw his body into the canal.
