Two teachers booked for sexual harassment

The police have booked two teachers of Presidium School at Omex City near Murthal in the district for indecent behavior, passing of vulgar remarks and attempt to molest a colleague.
Phool Kumar, SHO, Murthal police station, said a case was registered under Sections 354A (sexual harassment) and 34 (common intention) of the IPC against Navdeep and Karan on the complaint of a mathematics teacher of Presidium School.
He said no one was arrested so far and further action would be taken after investigation.
In her complaint to the police, the mathematics teacher had alleged that she had informed the school principal about the indecent behavior of the two teachers for the past six months, but no action was taken.
On the other hand, the school authorities said that it was an internal matter and it would be resolved. — OC
