Wastewater treatment plant for Kurukshetra

KURUKSHETRA: The city is all set to have a sewage treatment plant near the new bus stand.

The city is all set to have a sewage treatment plant near the new bus stand.

After laying the foundation stone of the project, local BJP legislator Subhash Sudha said the facility would be capable to treat 1.50 lakh litres wastewater per day.

Sources said the project had been delayed by more than 15 years.

Meanwhile, Sudha said the Rs 18-crore project would handle all 10 sectors located in the urban estate of the city. Sudha said the treated water would be used for irrigation.
