The victim said one of the two men, Ramesh, was known to her. “He took me in his car on the pretext of arranging an interview with his boss. Instead, he and his friend took me to a jungle-like area and raped me,” she alleged in her police complaint.

“Ramesh picked me up from HUDA Metro station. He said his boss would come and talk to me. Soon, another man, who Ramesh called Rakesh Sharma, came there. Ramesh pushed me to the back seat and Rakesh pinned me down. They took me to a secluded area and raped me. They threatened to kill me if I resisted or screamed. Fearing for my life, I remained silent,” the victim told police.

Four-year-old ‘sodomised’

A man allegedly sodomised his four-year-old nephew when the latter went to his house to watch TV on Wednesday. The accused lived next door in a rented apartment and the boy would visit his house every day to watch TV. The accused fled, leaving the boy crying, the police said. When the boy’s parents started looking for him, they found him in the accused’s room. The police booked the accused and nabbed him while he was trying to catch a bus from IFFCO Chowk.
