Dr Preetkamal, in-charge, IDSP, said it is the people who have to cooperate to tackle these diseases. People must keep vigil on their surroundings and water should not be allowed to accumulate. Wherever water accumulates, the place should be left to dry up at least once a week.

Dr Preetkamal said if a family is going out for few days, they should empty their buckets and coolers to prevent the breeding of larvae.
