ABOHAR: The police in Abohar and neighbouring Hanumangarh today seized 6 gm of heroin and 49 kg of poppy husk.

The police in Abohar and neighbouring Hanumangarh today seized 6 gm of heroin and 49 kg of poppy husk. The Hanumangarh police on the mega highway on a tip-off intercepted a truck that was transporting marble stone. The search resulted to seizure of 39 kg of poppy husk, Sub-Inspector Lal Chand Verma said. Driver Mohammad Munir of Nawan village and cleaner Khazan Singh of Surewala were held under the NDPS Act. — OC
