Vidya Balan is an actress par excellence and she proves herself with each film. Of late, we have seen her in strong, simple and de-glamorous roles.

In a recent interaction, talking about her roles in films such as Heyy Babyy and Kismat Konnection, Vidya Balan said, “Both the films got me a lot of criticism personally (smiles). I think that really put me off those kinds of films. I stood out like a sore thumb in those kinds of films. I don’t think I gave my 100 per cent in those films.”

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
