KANGRA: ‘Pahari Gandhi’ Baba Kanshi Ram will always be remembered for his contribution to the freedom struggle of India.

Kangra, July 11

‘Pahari Gandhi’ Baba Kanshi Ram will always be remembered for his contribution to the freedom struggle of India. This was stated by Urban Development Minister Sarween Chaudhary while addressing a gathering at a state-level function organised at Government Degree College, Baroh, Nagrota Bagwan, to mark Baba Kanshi Ram Jayanti. It was organised by the Himachal Pradesh Art, Culture and language Academy.

She said Baba Kanshi Ram, through his poetry, raised the issues of social, political, economic and cultural atrocities in society. She said although Himachal had produced several great visionaries, Baba Kanshi Ram created a special place for himself.

The minister honoured Ravikant, Vinod and Neeraj, grandsons of Baba Kanshi Ram, on the occasion.— OC
