1 held for making girl’s obscene video viral

The police last evening arrested a youth for allegedly circulating an obscene video of a girl student of Delhi studying in an institute here and was remanded to police custody.

Additional Superintendent of Police Dinesh Sharma said a case of cyber crime was registered in the Kangra police station by the victim on August 2 against some unknown persons for making her obscene video viral.

He said Sumit Kumar, a local resident, who is a wholesale distributor of a private sim company, was arrested. The accused was produced before the court today and it remanded him to police custody till tomorrow.

The viral video will undergo a forensic check and will be further investigated that how many people have received it and circulated it further.

He said circulating the obscene video was an offence under law.
