11 IAS, two HAS officers shifted

In a major administrative shake-up, the government today shuffled 13 middle rung officers, including DCs of nine out of 12 districts and posted Amit Kashyap, who was shifted during the Lok Sabha poll on the instructions of Election Commission of India, back as the DC, Shimla.

Kullu DC Yunus has been posted as Director, Tourism and Civil Aviation, with additional charge of Director, Town and Country Planning. Kangra DC Sandeep Kumar and Una DC Rakesh Kumar Prajapati have swapped places. DC, Shimla, Rajeshwar Goel has been posted as the DC, Bilaspur, in place of Vivek Bhatia, who goes as the DC, Chamba.

Lahaul-Spiti DC Ashwani Kumar Chaudhary has been posted as the Secretary, Himachal Pradesh Public Commission, relieving Ekta Kapta of the additional charge. Chamba DC Harikesh Meena has been posted as the DC, Hamirpur in place of Richa Verma, who goes as the DC, Kullu.

Meanwhile, Manisha Nanda, Additional Chief Secretary, Public Works and Revenue, retired today. An IAS officer of the 1985 batch held several important posts during his 34-year service. The revenue department has been given to Additional Chief Secretary and Principal Secretary to CM, Srikant Baldi while additional Chief Secretary, Finance, Anil Khachi would hold the charge of the PWD.

Another IAS officer, Sanjeev Pathania of 2008 batch also retired today. — TNS
