30 Radha Soami devotees hurt in road accident

Thirty Radha Soami devotees from Delhi and the adjoining areas, who were on their way to Paror to attend a sat sangh, were injured, two of them seriously, when two buses in which they were travelling met with an accident near Dhaliara on Friday, the police said here.
Subdivisional Police Officer Yogesh Dutt Joshi said both buses were moving in the same direction and on a sharp curve, the bus driver in front applied the breaks and the bus following it smashed against it.
The passengers were injured and the bus was badly damaged.
The SDPO said the police reached the spot and the rescue operations began. The injured were rushed to Subdivisional Hospital, Dehra, for treatment.
Dr Gurmeet Singh and Dr Gaurav Thakur said two passengers Amir Chand (71), and Kusam (52), had fracture in legs and the remaining 28 injured were given medical aid at the Dehra Subdivisional Hospital and were stated to be stable.
Dehra MLA Hoshiyar Singh reached the hospital to enquire about the welfare of the injured.
He assured the injured that they would be provided all help by the government and directed the authorities to take effective steps for their relief and see that they were given proper medical aid.
The police registered a case under Sections 279 and 337 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) against the erring driver of the vehicle .
