40,000 ‘Panna Pramukhs’ for Shimla convention
Shimla, December 13
About 40,000 “Panna Pramukhs” (in charge of voters) will take part in the BJP convention for the Shimla parliamentary constituency at Solan on December 23.
BJP national president Amit Shah is likely to attend the convention, besides MPs and MLAs from 17 Assembly segments of Shimla, Solan and Sirmaur districts.
This is the second such conference in the run-up to the Lok Sabha polls. The first conference for the Mandi Lok Sabha seat was held on November 29 .
Party general secretary Chander Mohan Thakur, who presided over the meeting today, sought to underplay the BJP defeat in Rajasthan, MP and Chhattisgarh. — TNS
