Industries Minister Bikram Singh on Tuesday called upon Union Minister for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan at New Delhi and urged him to open India International Skill Centre (IISC) in Himachal Pradesh.
Singh said that by sanctioning of the IISC, youths of the state would be able to get more opportunities like international standard training programme for their better future. He said the IISCs were the state-of-the-art centres equipped with lab infrastructure to deliver international benchmarked training and certification programmes.
The IISCs were being set up at the overseas migration pockets of the country for equipping trainees looking to migrate overseas. The IISCs would facilitate placement linkages to international countries through direct tie-ups with employers or recruitment agents approved by the Ministry of External Affairs.
