The forensic experts, who are preparing the post-mortem report of Kamal Kant alias Sagar, who was killed in a police shootout on September 2 at the Deerowal inter-state barrier after a bid to loot an ATM, have sought the visual details of the incident.

Six bullets were fired by the police on the vehicle in which five accused were trying to flee from the barrier. Two bullet marks are visible on the car while the remaining are suspected to have hit Sagar though this will be verified from the detailed post-mortem report which was conducted by a team of doctors at the IGMC, Shimla.

Police investigations have also revealed that the accused had visited this industrial belt on thtree occasions as their vehicle was seen in the CCTV footage of the inter-state barrier. Since their movement was traced in the evenings and the wee hours, the police are trying to ascertain whether any thefts had occurred in the area during those days. Since the accused are having a criminal history in Mandi district, the police are verifying whether they have committed thefts in the area, said DSP, Nalagarh, Sahil Arora.

While two accused were still at large, the police are yet to arrest Kamlesh Kumar who is recuperating at a hospital in Nalagarh and is yet to be declared fit for being arrested.
