“The countdown of the Congress government has begun as people have made up their mind to change the government in the state,” said BJP state in-charge Mangal Pandey while addressing members of the district unit.

He said the law and order situation had collapsed and people were forced to live in fearful environment. It was unfortunate that a minor girl was raped and killed in forests of Kotkhai and the government remained insensitive until people didn’t raise their voice against the investigation of the police. He said it was surprising that the incident occurred in a state that was known for its honest and god-fearing people. He said the government had failed on all fronts and lost its popularity and had no reason to remain in power. Mangal Pandey said there had been a number of criminal incidents that had jolted the state and people were scared. He said the Centre had sanctioned development projects worth crores of rupees for the state but state government could not even initiate any of them.

Former Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal said each BJP worker should create awareness about the achievements and policies of the NDA government in society and also speak about the failures of the Congress government to uproot the incompetent government from the state. He said the party would continue to raise voice for the justice for the minor girl. It was shameful that the police and government tried to save the culprits.
