The Transport, Technical Education and Food and Civil Supplies Minister, GS Bali, today dedicated Dr BR Ambedkar bus stand and the Regional Manager (HRTC) office building to the people at Nagrota Bagwan.
On the occasion, Bali said the state government was working for providing modern facilities to passengers on the bus stands and in this direction revolutionary steps were being taken. He said the bus stands were being constructed on a large-scale in the state. He said on the bus stands there would be air-conditioned waiting halls and a play area would be developed on the bus stands for children accompanying the passengers waiting for buses.
Bali laid the foundation stone of the Government Senior Secondary School building at Massal. It has been constructed at a cost of Rs 31 lakh. He said the state government was keen on providing basic infrastructure in the schools and committed to providing education to the people living in far-flung areas.
He said the students were provided free school uniform and free HRTC bus service under different programmes.
Bali also inaugurated the Ayervedic Hospital building at Upperli Manjtali. He said the government was eager to strengthen the traditional system of medicine.
Bali inaugurated the open chess competition organised in connection with the two-day Bal Mela in which 80 chess players would participate. Bali along with IPH Minister Vidiaya Stokes attended a youth programme in the OBC Bhawan at Hatwas where the ministers and youths interacted with one another and the ministers addressed their problems.
