Students of 1994 batch of Army Public School, Dagshai, are celebrating the silver jubilee of their passing out from the institute.
As many as 27 students from the batch, accompanied by Suresh Mathur, the founder Principal of the school, Abhay Mathur, the school’s first student and several founder staff members, are participating in the event.
The mother of the late Captain Sumit Roy, a Vir Chakra recipient and student of this batch, was the special guest.
Captain Roy made the supreme sacrifice for the country fighting Pakistani infiltrators during the Kargil War.
Welcoming the guests, Principal Dr SK Mishra welcomed the guests and kept them up to date with the progress the school, projects being undertaken and the future plans.
A special assembly was also held where the alumni addressed the students and staff and interacted with them.
They donated books worth Rs 22,000 to the school library and also gave a financial assistance of Rs 1.5 lakh to a needy student.
