As gorges and khuds in hill stations are difficult to clean, so the NGO has hired specialised services of ‘Clean India’, a company, that is well-equipped and experienced in cleaning such areas on hill sides.

In the first phase of the drive, the NGO will cover the Ahla to Spring Hotel Area of the town and the other adjoining areas will be covered afterwards.

On the occasion, Dr Kiran Chadha, IAS, former Joint Secretary, Government of India, being the fonder president of the NGO, welcomed MLA Asha Kumari and apprised the gathering of the aims and objectives of the programme.

Asha Kumari in her brief address appealed to the people to join such cleanliness drives in a big way and extend their full cooperation in making such programmes a success. She announced a sum of Rs 25,000 from the MLA’s discretionary fund.
