Complete digging work on time

Roads in Dharamsala and its suburbs are often dug up indiscriminately and debris dumped in the open. Digging takes days and refilling even longer. The ongoing work is a serious traffic hazard both  for vehicular movement and  pedestrians. Pits are left half-filled and dug up earth is left on roads, making it prone to accidents at night. The administration must ensure that digging work is completed in a time-bound manner.

A village without roads 

Rakkar village is just 3 km away from Nadaun, still it lacks road connectivity. Though the PWD had started the work and constructed a small bridge on a rivulet last year, it left the work midway. Locals have to cross the rivulet to reach their respective destinations.

Broken footpath 

A broken footpath near the Police Lines in Mandi has left locals harried, especially those who use the footpath to reach the bus stand. The sewerage line adjoining the pedestrian path is also leaking and the foul smell has worsened things. There is a need to repair the footpath.

Monkey attacks on rise

The state government is insensitive to the repeated demands of the people regarding the growing  monkey menace. At Palkwah village of Una district, at least 50 residents have been attacked and injured by the simians, whose population is increasing and they are getting more ferocious, damaging crops, entering homes and attacking people.
