Dharamsala, September 26
The Dalai Lama on Wednesday reached Dharamsala after his tour to Europe.
Addressing mediapersons at the Gaggal airport in Kangra this afternoon, the Tibetan spiritual leader said, “Little bit tired. I think it is the time when an old person needs more rest”.
The Dalai Lama was received at the airport by CTA president Lobsang Sangay and speaker Khenpo Sonam Tenphel.
During his trip to Europe, he first visited Sweden on September 11. On 12 September, he was invited to the 80th anniversary of the Swedish aid organisation Individuell Manniskohjalp, where he delivered a talk on ‘Art of Happiness and Peace’. During his engagement, the Dalai Lama said, “Tibetans long to return to Tibet and are willing to remain within the People’s Republic of China given that China respects Tibetan distinct culture and autonomy. I am optimistic about the reciprocal relationship between China and Tibet.”
He had also gone to Sweden where he gave an audience to the Tibetan community.
