On the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, a district-level programme was organised at Prem Ashram, a rehabilitation home for special children in Una city.

Deputy Commissioner Arindam Chaudhary was the chief guest. He said special children needed empathy, not sympathy from society. Small efforts of people could make a huge difference in their lives. The objective behind the event was to generate awareness among them and their family members about various rights and schemes aimed The DC honoured few people from the district who had made significant contributions in their respective fields after overcoming physical or psychological challenges. — OC
