MANDI:The Indian Institute of Technology IIT Mandi witnessed enrolment of 19 per cent girl students in its first batch of BTech this year

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Mandi, witnessed enrolment of 19 per cent girl students in its first batch of BTech this year.

Last year, the institute had witnessed 15 per cent registration of girl students and it increased by 4 per cent this year. The reason for this is that the authorities have taken some initiative to attract girl students. A special desk has also been set up to guide them. — TNS
