Flower festival delights visitors
SOLAN: Shoolini University on Saturdayorganised its annual flower festival. Hundreds of flowers were displayed on the campus. Lt Gen (retd) Kamal Davar inaugurated the festival. He also launched an online stock and selling portal of the university ‘The Himalayan Flora’.
There were different categories of plants like annual, perennial, foliage potted and hanging baskets. Ranunculus, calcealaria, salvia, antiritinum were among the popular plants that were bought by visitors in large numbers.
St Luke’s School, Solan, and District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) also participated in a competition. St Luke’s bagged the first position. TNS
