Forest Rest House to come up at Sadwan

A forest Rest House will be reconstructed at Sadwan in Jaswan Pragpur Assembly constituency at a cost of Rs 25 lakh. Industries and Technical Education Minister Bikram Singh Thakur stated this while addressing a public meeting after attending 70th Van Mahotsav at Sadwan today.

He said that efforts were on to use forests for employment and life sustenance. A a number of programs have been initiated in this connection. He said that on the pattern of Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan a plantation drive in the state had become need of the hour. The minister said that plantation drive will reach its logical conclusion only after the planted saplings are taken care of from time to time.

Industries minister said that Samudayic Van Samwardan Yojna was started in Himachal Pradesh for community participation in the plantation drive and preservation of the trees. In this connection, youths and mehla mandals have been involved for the tree plantation drive.

Earlier, the minister heard the grievances of people and sorted most of them out on the spot. For the remaining issues the officers concerned were directed to sort out these issues in short time frame.

On the demand of the people th minister announced Rs 3.50 lakhs for the construction of roads . He announced that 15 solar lights will be installed in Mohi panchayat.
