The General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 39 Mountain Division, Major General AK Samantara, visited Beeji’s Park along with his wife Shahnaz Samantara and laid wreaths at the park today. Brigadier Mukherjee, Commander 323 Brigade, and his wife accompanied the General.
On June 29, the Western Army Commander inaugurated the memorial.
The Beeji’s Park, a tribute to all mothers, is the most visited place by tourists.
The defence park was inaugurated by former Naval Chief Admiral Sunil Lanba on October 15, 2016.
The General appreciated the chairman and director of Dalhousie Public School, Dr (Capt) GS Dhillon, for the spick-and-span manner in which the defence trophies had been kept.
The park is a source of inspiration and motivation for the visitors and particularly the students of this region.
