Dharamsala, January 11
Hans Raj (34), BJP MLA from the Churrah constituency in Chamba district, was today elected unopposed as Deputy Speaker of the 13th Vidhan Sabha.
He is the youngest MLA to be elected to the post. Hans Raj’s name was proposed by Minister for Education Suresh Bhardwaj.
Leader of the Opposition Mukesh Agnihotri said politicians were like a community. They should work together rather than indulging in mud-slinging.
The Education Minister said they should make a new beginning by holding healthy debates in the House.
Congress MLA said they were happy that Chamba district had been given representation in the new government.
