Shimla, June 19
The High Court today granted interim bail to the Chief General Manager, HRTC, H K Gupta, who is allegedly involved in a conductors recruitment scam.
Justice Sandeep Sharma directed the petitioner to join the investigation by tomorrow and as and when required by the investigating officer. The court also directed him not to hamper the investigation and with the prosecution evidence in any manner.
Passing this interim order, the court clarified that in the event of the arrest of the petitioner, he will be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs 25,000, with one surety each in the like amount to the satisfaction of the investigating officer.
The court also granted time to the investigating agency to file its status report on or before July 10.
The court passed this order on a bail petition filed by HK Gupta contending therein that he has been falsely implicated in this case. — OC
