Shimla, November 24
The Governor has reconstituted the Board of Governors of the HP State Judicial Academy. As per the notification issued in this regard, Justice Tarlok Singh Chauhan has been nominated as the president of the State Judicial Academy.
The Chief Justice will be the Patron-In-Chief of the Academy, while Justice Dharam Chand Chaudhary, Justice Sureshwar Thakur, Justice Vivek Singh Thakur will be the members of the newly constituted Board of Governors. Apart from the above said judges of the High Court, Advocate General, Additional Chief Secretaries (Home & Finance) and Director, State Judicial Academy, have also been included in the Board of Governors.
Justice Tarlok Singh Chauhan belongs to Rohru tehsil, Shimla district. He did his law from Panjab University, Chandigarh, and enrolled as an advocate with the Bar Council of Himachal in 1989. He practised in the HP High Court and was elevated as the Additional Judge of the HP High Court on February, 23, 2014, and thereafter appointed as the permanent judge of the High Court on November 30, 2014. — OC
