Badhal village near Sansarpur Terrace will be developed as an industrial hub. Industries and Technical Education Minister Bikram Singh today said 7,000 kanals would be transferred to the Industries Department for the purpose.

At Badhal after inspecting the site along with Kangra Deputy Commissioner Rakesh Kumar Prajapati and other officials, the minister said previous governments had ignored the area, which was why a huge chunk of land was lying unused.

He said the state government was keen on developing the state as an industrial hub. The minister said forest officials had been told to get all clearances, while others were told to take effective steps to make Badhal an industrial hub.

The DC said a land bank was being established by the district administration and the revenue authorities were expeditiously working on the project.

Later, the minister listened to the grievances of the people. Most issues were resolved on the spot. The officials were told to look into the remaining problems and solve those in a time-bound manner.
