In support of ‘#metoo’ campaign, the seventh edition of Khushwant Singh Literary Festival is echoing the cause of women empowerment with its theme ‘Strength Of Naari—the rise of women in the age of #metoo’. The three-day literary festival, which his set to begin on October 12, will bring on stage authors, politicians and women rights activists.

On the first day, after Rahul Singh’s (son of Khushwant Singh) introductory address, Reba Sen, Robin Gupta and Bhaichand Patel along with Kishwar Desi will elaborate on the writings and general disposition of Khuswant Singh, post which Seema Anand and Gurcharan Das will discuss Kama: The Riddle of Desire. While Nivedita Menon and Naman Ahuja will bring to light India and the World, Syed Ata Hasnain and Rakesh Sharma will talk about Indian military in the session Two Spooks and the General.

One of the organisers, Niloufer Bilimoria, roots for Maja Daruwala, daughter of Sam Manekshaw, who’ll deliberate on Woman Rights are Human Rights along with Prem Shankar Jha.
