An avalanche at Baralacha pass and flood at Fuman Nullah in the day time blocked the Manali-Leh road for hours today.

According to sources, the snow is melting fast due to rising temperature, resulting in increased water flow in the nearby rivulets. Today Fuman Nullah near Koksar toward Keylong was flooded, which blocked the traffic. Long queue of vehicles could be seen on both sides of the road.

An avalanche was reported at Baralacha pass on the Manali-Leh highway, which chocked the road for hours. The traffic was stopped at Darcha and Sarchu until the restoration of the road for traffic movement. — TNS
