Lord Ganesha idol immersed in Banner

idol of Lord Ganesha was immersed in the Banner river here today.

Devotees were seen dancing in a procession, throwing colours on each other.

Fruits and prasada were distributed among those who lined up on the different routes to see the processions.

The idol was taken through Birta, Ujjain, New bus stand, Dharamsala Road, Old Bus stand and Tehsil Chowk before it was immersed.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
