Lucky murder: Third accused held from Delhi

The Delhi Police have arrested Naveen, a Sonepat resident, third accused in the sensational murder case of gym trainer Pankaj alias Lucky. He was shot by three assailants on August 7 at Shamti near here.

A team of the Solan police has gone to Delhi to seek his custody . Naveen was wanted in several criminal cases by the Delhi and Haryana Police. The Solan police had arrested two accused, Vipin Dhankar alias Sweety from a village in Kaithal, and Himmat alias Chiku from Gurugram.

Investigations by the police revealed that an altercation, which ensued between the bike-borne Lucky and the trio, who were coming in a car from the Shamti area, had led to the murder. The trio had been using the town as a safe haven. — TNS
