The ill-fated car (PB-02W-0069) carryring five youths from Jalandhar, which plunged into the Parbati near Manikaran on Monday, was traced today.

The youth had come to visit Manikaran and were leaving for Tosh village as the driver lost control on the vehicle and it plunged into the Parbati near Shangna bridge on the Manikaran-Barshaini road.

The body of one youth was recovered from the river while 3 others suffered minor injuries.

Kullu ASP Nishchint Singh Negi said, however, the driver of the vehicle Gurpreet Singh was still not traced during the search operation. The team of divers had been put into action. Search would be continued to trace Gurpreet Singh.
