Former minister Vijai Singh Mankotia has flayed the Vikramaditya Singh, Congress MLA and son of former CM Virbhadra Singh, for using words such as blackmailer and political opportunist for him. He alleged that it was not he but family of former CM that was facing cases of corruption from Central agencies like the ED and the CBI. The entire family of former CM was out on bail and their premise was raided by the CBI.

He also alleged that various senior police officers who were serving on key positions during the stint of previous Congress government headed by Virbhadra Singh had landed in jail in Gudia rape case.

Mankotia said that he had raised the issue of “misuse of helicopter” by Virbhadra Singh during his stint as Chief Minister after obtaining information under the RTI. “I just wanted to attract the attention of general public about the misuse of public money by elected representatives. It was an irony that when the state was under debt of Rs 52,000 crores, the former CM spent Rs 111 crores on just his helicopter rides”.

Mankotia said that he had sought information regarding the misuse of helicopter by the present Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur also and reveal it as and when received.
