In late night raids, the goons of mining mafia allegedly attacked the policemen and ran away with a JCB. The police had seized six tippers and two JCB from river Chakki in Nurpur area of Kangra district.

The police team, led by Nurpur DSP, seized two JCB machines, but the goons allegedly attacked the policemen and ran away with one JCB.

The SP Kangra has transferred entire staff at the Kandwal police chowki to lines for not helping the team raiding anti-mining operations.

Police have registered cases of theft of material and obstructing government servant from performing duty against unidentified people.
