Needy benefiting from health plans: Parmar
Shimla, August 27
Health and Family Welfare Minister Vipin Singh Parmar today said the poorest of poor and the needy people in the state were benefiting from Sahara and Himcare schemes of the state government.
Replying to a debate moved by Narinder Thakur under Rule 130 in the Vidhan Sabha today, Parmar said 22 lakh persons were being covered under Ayushman while 6.42 families had been registered under Himcare. “A sum of Rs 34.33 crores had been spent on treatment of 33,093 persons in the last six months since HP Swasthya Bima Yojna was launched,” he disclosed. He said it was being ensured that not a single person is denied the benefit of this schemes.
He said a sum of Rs 21.55 crore had been collected by way of Rs 1,000 collected as premium. He added that the treatment was completely free for the economically weaker sections like 90,000 MNREGA workers. He said the latest treatment facilities for cancer, heart and other ailments was being provided at IGMC, Shimla, Tanda and other health institutions.
Parmar said the Sahara Yojna announced by the CM in this year’s budget was providing succour to the poor who were getting a help of Rs 2,000 per month.
