Rs 5-lakh grant for Bhalei temple

State Vidhan Sabha Deputy Speaker Hans Raj has announced a grant of Rs 5 lakh for the expansion of Bhadrakali Bhalei Mata Temple premises in Chamba district.

Presiding over a prize distribution function of a two-day Bhalei Mela, which concluded in Bhalei on Thursday, Hans Raj said there were ample of possibilities for the promotion of religious tourism, besides scenic and adventure tourism, in the district. If promoted well, tourists could be attracted towards this destination. Hans Raj lauded the efforts of the Bhalei Mata Temple Managing Committee for providing a large number of devotees with facilities.

On the occasion, committee chairperson Kamal Thakur honoured the Deputy Speaker.
