With performances ranging from traditional Rajasthani folk music to sufi to devotional songs, he touched the hearts of everyone seated in the auditorium. The audience was spellbound by the performance that lasted for two hours. There was a special show on the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, and his struggle for India’s freedom. Vinod Yadava, Director of NIT, said SPIC MACAY, NIT, had been playing an active role in keeping aglow the fading embers of Indian culture in our hearts. He said to accomplish this task, SPIC MACAY, NIT, had been organising events and it was a challenge to protect and promote rich heritage of the country. — OC
