Solan, November 17
The electorate today voted for the sister of deceased ward member Neeru Sharma, Prabhat Kiran, contesting from ward number 8 in the Nalagarh Municipal Committee. She won the byelection by 60 votes.
Prabhat Kiran polled 255 votes, while her opponent Anuradha got 195 votes. Ten chose NOTA. Another candidate Monika Rattan polled 132 votes and Puja secured 50 votes.
In the Solan Municipal Committee, Swati won the by 217 votes from ward number 4. She got 611 votes, while her opponent Kiran polled only 394 votes. As many as 1,014 were cast in the byelection. — TNS
