The NHPC Sewa-II Power Station, under its corporate social responsibility (CSR) scheme, organised a free healthcare camp at Bhunaad in Chamba district and adjoining the Bani block of Kathua district in Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday.
The camp catered to the needs of the people of two states living in Khilgram, Bhunaad and Bhaned villages in Himachal Pradesh and Khaddi, Deosal and Kardoh villages in J&K.
The camp was inaugurated by NHPC General Manager Rajan Kumar accompanied by Chief Engineer (electrical) Lakhmi Chand and local gram panchayat pradhan amid a gathering of about 500 residents.
A medical team comprising a gynecologist, a general physician and other paramedical staff checked 350 patients. All patients were given free consultation and medicines.
