The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) is reviewing its curriculum with an emphasis on optional and elective subjects.
Prof Sibichan K Mathew, Director, NIFT, Kangra, on Sunday said the aim of the curriculum review was to acquire knowledge and skills, provide opportunities to communicate ideas and their generation.
He said a workshop was conducted in which experts from different areas of the Kangra valley participated.
Those who participated in the programme were Dr Pardeep Nair and Dr Harikrishnan B, Dean and Assistant Professor of Media Studies, CUHP, respectively, LN Aggarwal, former Director, GSI, INTACH for nature, Dr YK Dogra, former professor of poetry, Prof Lokesh Mahajan
Communication Engineer, Madhabi Katoch and Ayswarya Dutta from NID , Simran Sandhu, artist, Jagdeep Sandhu, floriculturist, OC Sharma, art historian, Seema Sharma, theatre artist, Dr MB Sharma, English language, Amit Dutta, film appreciation and Sanjay Kumar from CUHP.
