‘Nukkad natak’ organised to promote cleanliness drive

A sensitisation and awareness programme — ‘Swachhta Hi Sewa Hai — was organised on Wednesday by the National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Central University of Himachal Pradesh (CUHP) in connection with the “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan”.

More than 100 students of CUHP performed “nukkad natak” at different places within the campus and outside it to give emphasis on better and clean environment.

Dr Ashish Nag, NSS Programme Officer and Programme Coordinator, said a large number of students participated in the programme and the activity was supported by Assistant Prof Shabab Ahmad, Assistant Prof Amreen Jamali and Pankaj Kumar and other university students.

Dr Nag said “nukkad natak” was a major attraction of the day and an awareness rally was also organised with a cleanliness drive, which was held on the road adjacent to the CUHP campus.
